In 1967, several faithful believers gathered for a vision to establish a New Testament Church in heart of Decatur Township in Indianapolis, Indianapolis.  In the early beginnings, two organizational meetings were held at the Decatur Central High School.  On April 16, 1967, Valley Mills Christian Church was formed with 27 charter members.  They continued to meet in the cafeteria of the High School until October 5, 1969 when their first building was dedicated to the glory of God.

Since those early beginnings, Valley Mills has met growth and sustainability in the Decatur Township Community.  We desire to meet the needs of people in Decatur Township both physically and spiritually.

We are striving to "Turn Lives Around...One At A Time".   Our Mission Statement is "Turning Lives to Jesus by Seeking the Lost, Maturing Believers, Living and Serving in Love".  We do this by living our lives as Christ to others.  Valley Mills Christian Church has been blessed over the 40 year history of it's existence.  Our prayer is that God will continue to use as a vessel for the Decatur Township Community as well as for His Kingdom.
