As we embark on a new year, there are opportunities waiting. Each new year, each new month, each new day is the opportunity to serve God in a powerful way. As 2008 begins, that is what we are confronted with; opportunities.

As a church we are working to present opportunities to you. What sort of opportunities?

The opportunity to worship freely

The opportunitty to grow spiritually

The opportunity to serve willingly and effectively

The opportunity to develop relationships

The opportunity to impace the world for Jesus

This is our role and command according to scripture, to provide the opportunities. The greatest part about church is that we do this together, as a family. The Bible does not ever mention us living this life alone. It talks about sharing life and ministry together. We are continually working to create this type of environment for you at Valley Mills Christian Church.

This year we will be looking at the life of Jesus. MOre specifically, "The Teachings and Commands of Christ". The teachings and commands are a blessing to our lives. They are not burdensome and heavy, rather they are blessings when we live out the life that God has called us to live.

The Teachings and Commands of Christ will open our eyes to the life that God wants us to live. We pray that you will step up to live it.
